We are the Belgian national women team.
Ultimate is an impressive and intense team sport played with a Frisbee (or flying disc) by two teams with seven players on the field.
On 2 August 2015, our sport was officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee. This was an important step in the development of our sport, and recognition for every Ultimate player. It is currently the fastest growing sport around the world.
This summer (june 18-25) the World Ultimate and Guts championships will take place in London and we will represent our country there. Last year we participated at the European championships and we finished 6th. This was a very good results since we were a new team and it was a long time ago Belgium was able to put a women's team together. So this was the start of something big. We are still growing as a team and at worlds we hope to finish in the top 15.
Unfortunately we don't have any financial support. The estimated costs for this season will be around 1500 euro per player. And every girl had to pay this amount herself because we don't have help from the government or other big sponsors. This is why we hope to gain part of that amount with fundraising and to reduce the amount the girls have to pay themselves. And to realize that we need your help! Our financial objective is set at 3.000€ but we can go beyond that !
